The development process of flocking technology

The flocking technology first started in China more than 3000 years ago and emerged in Europe. In the 1950s and 1960s, electrostatic flocking was first developed and used in Germany. It was not introduced and used in China until the 1970s and 1980s. In the early 1990s, Germany developed multi color flocking, which was first introduced in 1994 and produced in 1996. In 1997, the first six station multi color flocking machine in China was developed and obtained a national patent. At that time, the Chinese invented the prototype of flocking industry: cutting natural fibers and spraying them on the surface of resin coated textiles. The improvement of aesthetic requirements is the driving force behind the invention and development of flocking technology. 

In the 1920s in the United States, sandpaper products created through electrostatic technology resulted in quartz particles presenting a pointed upward state. In this way, the idea of applying the principle of static electricity to the fine cutting of textile fibers and the process of electrostatic flocking machines has strong practical experience support.

In the 1960s, the United States invented surface flocking technology for rubber products in the automotive industry. At the same time, Europe has begun to apply electrostatic flocking equipment flocking technology to the production of cabin covers and floor mats to achieve high-quality visual appearance effects and noise reduction functions. Since the 1970s, most flocking techniques have been used.

Widely popularized in all fields, especially in the automotive industry, cosmetics, phonographs, and photographic equipment. Meanwhile, with the popularization of global sports, the use of team logos and flocking technology on sportswear has led to another huge market for flocking products. Plucking products have become widely popular, and in addition to the products mentioned above, automatic electrostatic flocking machines have also been widely used in the interior decoration, footwear, and luggage industries.

Today, electrostatic flocking has very mature technology and raw materials, and is applied to almost all surfaces of objects. flocking technology brings not only beautiful appearance, but also its special properties and uses, which are even more important for industrial production and daily life in modern society.
